Birch Hill Residence

This house is all about the views and incredible custom cabinetry, and the highest level of energy efficiency was a priority throughout the renovation process. The western face was a key element in the design process, right down to the railings and windows. The eastern/front facing windows have standard muntins, which were deliberately minimized on the western side to ensure clean views throughout. Custom built-ins are scattered throughout the home, with specialized hidden storage boxes under the stairs adjacent to the mud room.

The large family room flows into the dining and kitchen spaces. Warm earth tones compliment the space and hues of blue and green carry the outside in. The farmhouse table softens the austere white subway tiles and cabinetry and the stainless steel lighting fixtures bring a touch of modern to this classic farmhouse.
