Hanover Housing Conversations

What Do Hanover's Zoning Changes Mean for Your Property?

Recent updates to the Hanover Zoning Ordinance have created new opportunities to add housing on eligible residential properties. Whether you're considering an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) or expanding the housing on your property by 1 to 3 units, now is the perfect time to explore what's possible for your property.

As part of our commitment to Community, Collaboration, and Sustainability, we are offering complimentary one-hour housing consultations for property owners within Hanover's SR and GR zoning districts.

During your consultation, our team will help you:

  • Understand how the new zoning regulations may apply to your property

  • Discuss potential development opportunities, and answer your questions

All with no obligation.

If your property is served by municipal water and sewer, reserve a consultation on Thursday afternoons at 4 pm or 5:15 pm and discover how these zoning changes could apply to your property.

We believe that the best way to create additional housing in our community is through a grassroots effort spearheaded by the people who already live here.

  • A diagram of your property showing the zoning setbacks

  • A clearer understanding of your options for adding housing units to your property

Why is MA+KE Architects offering complimentary consultations?

At MA+KE Architects, we believe thoughtful design can address our community's housing challenges.

We're offering these complimentary consultations because:

  • We recognize the growing need for more housing locally and nationwide.

  • We have the expertise to help property owners navigate new zoning regulations and identify hidden opportunities.

We aim to empower homeowners to make informed decisions about their property.

Will I be able to apply for a building permit after the consultation?
