Enfield Renovation

Originally the station master’s house for the Enfield Depot, this house had undergone an unfortunate 70’s revision that removed the original front porch and replaced it with a fiberglass sunroom. Our renovation restored the front porch, added a dormer for an additional bath and closet on the second floor, and expanded the kitchen. We also connected spaces to better share the natural light and views by creating openings between the stair and the kitchen, and at the entry with the windows looking out over the porch roof above. These small gestures offered big impact. The insulation of the exterior envelope of the house was improved and the windows were either replaced or restored.
